What Do You Think?
How is your attitude? Do you think…’Oh, I’m just a property manager’?
We seem to think that as property managers we are the poor cousin to the real estate industry. You know that syndrome…sales consultants are kings…legends in their own lunchbox…the lion in the jungle, because it is a jungle out there.
Well, I’m sorry to say, they only appear to be that way, aloof and superior, because we let them. Get to know the sales consultants, you can learn a lot from them. Think like a sales consultant and adapt the mentality of a sales consultant and you will start to have a whole new outlook on your career and life. You just never know…those little flames flickeringĀ deep inside may even burst into a raging flame of passion, fueling your desire to seek out the wonderful opportunities that await.
I’ve said it a few times in my blogs, if you think you’re not valuable and important, then what you think is what you getĀ and that’s how you will be treated. If you want to be valued by your colleagues and clients, check your attitude.
How do feel? Do you have a defeatist attitude? Or, do you truly believe the value you provide to the industry and your clients?
Let me know your thoughts. I personally believe we need to address so many buried grudges and feelings of being used. Negative feelings are so draining and de-energising. Let’s raise all issues to the surface, discuss it and together solve what needs to be done to navigate our industry and ourselves safely on to the 21st Century Highway.
Come on, start getting actively involved in solving what could turn into a crisis in our industry if we don’t address it. This is really exciting, we have the opportunity to revolutionise and evolve a whole new industry.
